Friends from the north

And by north, I mean Georgia...the frigid arctic, mind you. And yes, we do still like them even though they have a thorough disgust for the Gators, but whatevah. We were once there in life...until we realized what we were really missing by not cheering on our beloved Florida Gators because they win at everything and schtuff. Well, and because they pay the mortgage and medical bills...you kind of have to root for the college who supports you. It's a law or something.
I have mentioned before that one of the blessings of being on this roller coaster of a journey over the past couple of years has been meeting some incredible people who we would not have met if not thrust into the medical world. Doctors, nurses, therapists, and families on this same journey...we are indeed very thankful for these new relationships in our life.
The Garvins from Georgia are some of these new-found friends who we are indeed blessed to know. Little Avery sees a specialist at our Children's Hospital Clinic, and we have had the priviledge to meet her and Michelle (her mom) for breakfast a couple of times when they are down for appts.
It is so nice to be able to talk face to face with a mom who is familiar with the ins and outs of the medical and therapy world and get advice and input on different procedures and problems. I have learned more from other parents over the past year than I have from really any doctor, and I am truly thankful for that.
Avery is just precious, and she has gotten so much more older looking since we saw her 6 months ago. She has the cutest little dainty voice ever...I just love to hear her talk. Thanks for the fun morning, Michelle and Avery...it was a blast!

As always you got some great shots! Thank you so much for meeting up with us again. We are so blessed to have met you on this journey. God places people in our paths for a reason, and I am so glad our paths crossed. Looking forward to our next visit! Go Dawgs!! :o)
