Nate's had a big week with his grandparents (more pics to come later). He didn't feel good for a lot of it until we tweaked the volume of his feeds we were giving him. Once we cut down drastically on how much we were feeding him at night and worked with some other methods through the day, his little personality came back in full bloom. The short story is that 1)he can not handle bolus feeds at this time and 2)he can not handle 2 boxes of formula at night quite yet. But, as of today, he was able to have his daily rate increased to 45ml/hr with little issue! We have doubled his reflux med in hopes to curtail some nasty reflux he has had with all of this, and we hope to be able to reach his caloric intake goal by the end of this week if all goes well. It's slow going, but we are trying. The little guy is a trooper through everything.**Pics from the past week will follow sometime this week.**

I'm so glad he's doing well! Hudson got his tube at 5 months old and still can't tolerate bolus feeds. Hang in there Amber, you're doing a great job :)
I'm glad he's doing well!! Everyone tolerates things a little differently, so it takes some time and some tweaking to find a good balance...but sounds like it is working! :)
OH NO, I didnt read about the Gtube popping out! Well thats exactly what happened the first week Jack came home with his. I was sitting in the ER waiting area nursing him, knowing full well that it was all pouring out of his stoma! poor kid, I was willing to do anything to comfort him right then! lad it was an easy placement.
Jack still cant handle boluses either, 6 yrs later :( So we have the pump and its keeping him alive just fine.
HUGS and always prayers for your sweet boy. He really has done so well with all this, WTG Nate!
Heidi & Jack.
